It may be as Sartre held, that there is no exit, no way out from pain and suffering, excepting death, that final, lasting extinction.
I disagree. The suffering may be unavoidable in many instances, but living the life of courageous, rational counter-measuring can ameliorate the pain, or at least make the struggle meaningful and heroic.
As a believer in and follower of God, I accept that death can bring relief from suffering. But death is not the end, but is only the beginning of a new phase in our lives.
