Tp Preserve The Civil Society
Though it is inevitable that
we will disagree, may we be civil to people that disagree with us. One
interpretation of the Golden Rule may be not to like or not argue with
those of polar views, but it is the categorical imperative to treat them
with courtesy and respect, not demean their character, or insult or
threaten their dissenting views. We are so polarized today that the
civil society is teetering on collapse, like what happened in not so
merry-old-England in the days of Cromwell.
