Possessed By Absolutes

I agree with Stirner that the individual should not exist as the possessed, involuntary egoist, a subject serving some absolute.

Rather, the self as a voluntary, authentic, non-alienated egoist, should follow and serve some objective cause or divinity over and above himself, as an objective egoist, not as a subjective egoist, and as a spiritual egoist, not a materialistic, atheistic egoist.
