Exodus 20:13

I quote The New American Bible version of the 6th Commandment: “Thou shall not kill.”

My response: I am not nonviolent, nor a pacifist, nor a conscientious objector. I believe in just war, legal, rare, responsible violence (Private, personal, unfettered ownership of firearms by lawful, sane adults) as the inescapable, last resort, being used by the citizens to defend themselves against tyrants, federal secret police—should it come to that and I hope it never will—foreign invaders, revolutionary, violent terrorists, the violent criminal, and the insane mass shooter.

Mostly though, we should settle our differences peacefully and lawfully. With the bracketed exceptions laid out above, life is sacred and should be preserved. We should not murder anyone, and the collective will, and federal government should not be conducting public executions of criminals (almost never), easy, liberal access to abortion, mercy-killing euthanasia and so forth.

God alone gives life and takes human life; we are not to arrogate this divine power unto ourselves.

Here is that same verse from the Holy Bible (KJV): “Thou shalt not kill.”

The Father, the Mother, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Allah, Buddha and all other good deities are pro-love, pro-creation and pro-life; Satan, Lera, and all the wicked deities are pro-hate, pro-death and pro-destruction.

Yahweh wants the Hebrews and all humans not to kill, so as to live and act consistently with preserving life as the good deities in heaven are working towards.

The good deities will kill, destroy, fight back against Satan violently and with lethal force, but, in the main, they do not kill and do not want us killing on a whim or out of angry retaliation.
