Let me correct this title: reform or revolution within the system always or almost always fails in the long run, and reform or revolution from without the system does not fare much better. We would all do much better to recognize, accept, and implement egoist ethics, because no reform or revolution works or lasts for long unless it is conducted within the peaceful, voluntary, willed consent of the private individual who loves herself, really loves herself.
Lasting, consistent, sure, permanent reform or revolution must occur on the individual level; there are not alternatives that work, though they are tried and forced upon the masses all the time. Morality cannot be legislated for each adult for himself and upon himself, he must legislate morality, writing it upon his own heart.
Human nature is what it is, and has an unchanging, non-malleable, universal essence to it—regrettably in a way—so that the mistakes and sins humans committed 200,000 years ago are the same sins they commit today. Human nature has not improved at all: as babies and children, there is still more self-loathing devil and beast in each of us than self-loving and self-esteeming angel and good actor in each of us.
We are not only biologically more evil than good, we are spiritually born with a consciousness more evil than good, so as we fight our personal battle in our own consciences, we are battling our natures and devil-drenched souls, struggling mightily to eke out a good will that is more grateful, proud, loving, pious and virtuous, and less ungrateful, resentful, bitter, entitled, humble, hating the self and others through self-hatred, and vicious.
We all have to engage the forces warring within us and win this personal battle before we can even think of reforming society, and we have to keep the self-reforming going for the rest of our lives, lest we lapse back into sin and darkness. There is hope but it is not easy hope: we can manage to cobble together for oneself a good will and a loving relationship with God, before embarking on the journey to reform society.
Reforms always fail because the reformers do not understand human nature, how it works, and how to come with social and ethical strategies to work with the way people are to unnaturally and civilizedly increase mightily odds that the reform will work this time despite almost universal, historical failures of all reforms and revolutions due to mortality (The good people die off and the new generation of humans fall short of what their parents’ ethical achievements.), people losing interest, and the Devil brewing power lust in every new generation of born, unrepentant sinners in self-denial, strengthened and reinforced by collective denial and lying to one another.
The typical, idealistic, naïve, inexperienced, unwise reformer has no idea who she is up against: career bureaucrats outlast reformers, and human nature rears its ugly ahead repeatedly as replacement elites ruling the masses keep being born and claw their way into powerful spots. The corrupting essence of human nature is an incurable lust for power accumulation, to live off others, a terrible, irresistible sickness that elites must suffer from, and, now feeling bad about themselves, they take revenge upon the masses.
The answer is not violent revolution to replace bad institutions with the worst imaginable institutions riddled with elements like pure collectivism, totalitarianism and pure hierarchies, utterly cruel, unjust institutions, which convert the masses into purely huddled sheep and serfs.
The only cure, the only near perfect, permanent reform is my suggestion that we rear a generation of egoistic-individualist, anarchist individuating supercitizens. Of course, that is not permanent answer, but this conditional guarantee is still the best shot at workable reform and revolution (gently executed and voluntarily received) from within the system or from without the system.
We are born to live, work, build something, do good, create, and propagate the species, create cosmos out of chaos, serve God. We are born depraved, which means we are beast more than angel, and that we must confess our sins to Jesus or whatever good deity we choose to serve, and then work hard to transmute our naturally depraved bad wills into a good wills, each a person of sterling ethical and spiritual aura and demeanor.
When we hate ourselves, are selfless and run in packs, we our living demons: we still wield power, but it is the negative power of powerlessness, spreading suffering in the soul, and we personally are a vehicle for spreading unnecessary suffering across our nation.
Selfish elites running all packs. All of them are users and inhabitants of institutions are altruistic and groupist, beyond reforming, because of their militant allegiance to what sickens them and all under their thumbs. They curry their natural wickedness, their social status and their taste of accumulated power, their inability to see the truth any longer because they have lied to themselves and each other for decades.
It is near impossible to extricate them from power but violent revolution and resolved reformers occasionally dislodge them, and gain have victory for a day, a month, a year or a few decades, but the humans badly crave and need what is bad for them: altruism, collectivism, group-living, nonindividuating, and eager submission to hierarchies of elites willing to push others aside to rule them. Enslavers and the enslaved are the prehistorical and historical human story, as the iron laws of biology human nature and the way society forms itself are acted out in every society by each new generation.
The solution, the only successful reform or gentle revolution is for America to develop a powerful, trained, aware, united, unforgetting citizenry of middle and upper middle-class voters of the anarchist individuating supercitizen persuasion. Each supercitizen is ½ elitist an individuators, and at the same time in the same body and consciousness, she is one half a commoner, everyday worker, taxpayer consumer voter one of the mases, an uncommon commoner. A vast upper middle class of supercitizens living in, under and running a constitutional republic with small government and free markets is our best hope for reform working and lasting for a few decades.
Today, 10/9/25, I copied and pasted an editorial off of Townhall.com and this editorial is by Dmitri Bolt, a blogger and liberty lover.
Here is the article which I will comment on: Dmitri (D after this): “
Cornell Professor: Campus Anti-Semitism Hasn’t Faded—It’s Adapted
Dmitri Bolt | October 07, 2025 8:00 PM
A Clinical Professor of Law at Cornell Law School warns that the wave of anti-Semitism that swept through American universities after the October 7th attacks of 2023 hasn’t disappeared—it has adapted, taking on quieter, more insidious forms that have become embedded in campus culture.
Professor William Jacobson says the "venomous" hatred that pervades campuses has adapted, learning to mask their anti-Semitism, cracking down on physical encampments and demonstrations, while hardening the ideology within.”
My response: This Clinical Professor uncovered something of first-rank importance, that institutional reform is much more difficult that the idealistic reformers ever realize. Idealists severely underestimate the stubbornness and defiance of those embedded institutionalists clinging to poor ideas and unjust practices. Fools and sinners in power are proud of their track records, and they have no intention of changing, and resent any criticism whatsoever.
D: “"There has been a gross campaign at the international level to demonize Israel," he told Fox News Digital. "False accusations of genocide. These are all percolating under the surface on the campuses. In some ways, the situation’s worse underneath."
Anti-Semitism, he argued, has simply been absorbed into the culture of American universities.
"People should not be complacent that these issues were brewing before October 7th," he warned. "They’ve been pushed now back below the surface, but it’s still brewing on campuses and nobody should kid themselves."”
My response: Note how the ideologues and evildoers are on campus, lodged in these institutions of higher learning, once the beacons of hope, promise, reason and civilization, the crown jewels of Western civilization, have been reduced to what they are today by institutional bureaucrats out to rule society, not just their education hierarchies. Sooner or later, all institutions and their ruling classes go rogue, and attack society and the masses.
Institutional elites are realistic and cunning: they know if they lie low, they can outlast Trump and Maga, and recapture the institutions of higher education in 2038, becoming more virulent and destructive, once they get a chance to wreak havoc and revenge upon the resisting masses.
Professor Jacobson below also will characterize elite universities as "playing hide-and-seek" with the Department of Education and its investigations into campus anti-Semitism. He argues they believe they can simply outlast the lawsuits.
"I think the schools think they can outlast the Trump administration," Jacobson argued. "That they can rope-a-dope it for two to three more years. And then perhaps they'll be rescued by a new administration."
My response: Let it never be said that committed, evil people are not cunning and adaptable—they cleverly camouflage and hide their ambitions and intentions while out of power, waiting for a chance to return as the true believing cultural Marxists and anti-Semites, to unleash upon society what believe in: they are how they hate and will conduct themselves.
Anti-Semitism, he argued, has simply been absorbed into the culture of American universities.
He also argued they care less about backlash from donors and more about the federal funding that keeps them afloat.
D: “"They take a longer-term view. They think this is going to blow over," he said. "For every alum who withholds a contribution because of anti-Israelism on campus, there's probably another, probably a foreign donor, who makes up for it."
"What they do care about is federal funding, because federal funding is on a scale that so far surpasses private donations that it's something they can't ignore," he continued. "If Trump ends up prevailing in a lot of these lawsuits, and I believe he will, that’s going to put certain schools in a very bad situation."
My response: Jacobson is insightful: they don’t mind losing a few donors as long as the big money, federal dollars, keep flowing into campus coffers.
Though despite the administration's efforts, few universities are truly reckoning with the anti-Semitism they let fester.
D: “"I don't believe the schools have changed their world outlook at all," he said. "They’re just waiting it out. They're playing hide-and-seek with the administration."
My response: Jacobson is insightful: they don’t mind losing a few donors as long as the big money, federal dollars, keep flowing into campus coffers.
Professor Jacobson is a wise lawyer, professor and conservative blogger; and his warning to the public is excellent public service and should be heeded. Institutional Leftist rot runs deep in the bowels of all kinds of hierarchies across America.
We must seek substantive change: we must invite the student, worker, burgher, farmer, soldier, lawyer, cit1zen, consumer and taxpayer to grow into being an anarchist individuating supercitizen, for only they collectively can work together to downsize and flatten hierarchies, and keep elites in line, from gather power to themselves, to be prevented from attacking society.
