Outlawing Shariah Law

Some states here in America have or are considering outlawing shariah law. I agree with domestic conservatives that shariah law, or its excesses, are an ominous, abusive, cruel system of justice.

I am leery of outlawing anyone else's set of laws here, for fear of starting a bad precedent to control freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

What I would tell Muslims or any foreigners coming here that they can keep their faith and their ecclesiastical laws, but where that faith or statutes conflict with American secular statutes, or violate the natural rights, the human right and the constitutional rights of anyone living in America--especially those cowed and living under the cover of a burqa--the American justice can and must hold sway.

If these foreigners refute that, they need to go home. We will not forsake our American constitutional republic or our best values, or our lovely language, in the name of masochistic, defeatist appeasement.

Assimilate or go home.
