Jordan Peterson writes Rule VIII on Page 201 of his book, BEYOND ORDER 12 MORE RULES FOR LIFE: "Try to make one room in your home as beautiful as possible."
This is a brilliant suggestion. He tells us to clean up our room (doing the needed routine maintenance and chores) but here he is recommending that we add beauty to our lives. Why not?
Notice his moderate messages here: clean up your room to obviate chaos, and make one room in your house as beautiful as possible so that routine and drudgery of maintaining order does not cause your soul and spirit to wither and blow away in the fall.
All his kind, wise, noble, sensible, reasonable advice, I can just amplify as applicable to the lifestyle of a coming individuator. The main thrust of her life is creating beauty, brilliance, intellectual pioneering, and original thinking. She is making many rooms in the mansion of her psyche as beautiful as possible.
She also needs to love, raise children, care for her spouse, work to make money, clean the house, make time for her spouse, walk the dog--she is always cleaning up her room.
