Happiness is not a human right, but some version of it, to some degree of success, is possible for each person to acquire, directly or indirectly, by adopting an outlook of optimism, gratitude and wonder over God’s presence and unending flow of blessings freely bestowed upon one by De.
Perhaps happiness should be an approach or reaction to the world that is part cautious, part fatalistic, part stoic, then resolutely and actively one faces and devises strategies and tactics as how to make the most out of what is happening to one each day. One might as well enjoy life to the degree that one can by living well and nobly while one is still alive. to live as well and nobly as one can while alive.
