Anybody that has read me for awhile knows I do not believe that human nature is basically good, that, instead, it is basically more bad than good, and we must adopt egoist morality and unnaturally will ourselves to behave, and with God’s help, we can become holy and virtuous individuals of good will, if not perfectly good, an impossible, hopeless goal, neither achievable or demanded of us by God, loving and understanding, none better able to detect human errancy and fallibility.
We are social creatures who live in hierarchies, run by elites operating under a corrupt and corrupting version of the Pareto Principle.
Also, to be basically evil is to be addicted to gather more money and power to oneself than one has earned, requires or is good for one.
All that serve in elites, either sooner or later, fall prey to their lust for disproportionate and ill-gained centralized power, and they seek to centralize ever more power, money at privilege to themselves by robbing, raiding, and depriving the long-suffering masses of their personal, precious liberty, property, and legitimate private power to individuate, should they elect to maverize as God requires.
No human is exempt from being sooner or later damaged and stained as a person of elite rank and position, once empowered in, and operating as part of the ruling institutional hierarchy. All will be sickened and addicted to centralized power, should they wield it and are enriched by accumulating it.
These corrupted, hooked elitists can only gain power and money by getting it illegitimately from those they rule, and to get the fix their need to quench their thirst for power, they are willing to abuse and rip off those whom they have power over.
It is the moral duty of the masses to organize to resist and curb power abuse and power-centralizing schemes and raids conducted upon them by the ruling elites.
Humans naturally are lazy, eager credulously to believe those in positions of power. Humans naturally prefer and enjoy masochistically being abused and deprived of power, wealth and equality of opportunity. The masses enjoy or meekly endure and tolerate being lied to, exploited, and enslaved by elites, whom the masses permit to do their thinking and deciding for them.
Whatever the diverse hierarchy, it is pretty much the same everywhere. Be that hierarchy collegiate, ecclesiastical, a union, a bank, a factory, the Army, or Bloomington City Hall, elites rule the roost, and the masses pay the price.
Those in power are corrupted by the excessive, undeserved power they wield. They crave more and more of the drug of centralized power, craving ravenously the one thing that is most harmful to them, and to the populace constantly under attack.
They desire ever more control over the masses so they, the elite, can dominate, enslave, tyrannize, exploit, inflict pain upon, and extract maximum work and benefit with minimum reward from the masses in their varying institutional roles as workers, voters, consumers, citizens, and neighbors.
Elites running hierarchies lie to themselves about their misbehavior and mistreatment of the masses suffering under them. It is easier for elites to crush and smear dissenters and gadflies like me than to mend their ways.
Elites hold down the rank and file.
As the masses in America at work abused, exploited, tyrannized, and hurt, it is mostly and ultimately the fault of the masses for allowing elites to mistreat them, without taking up arms in open rebellion. Armed populist uprising on the part of the masses might be required to replace elite oppressor with populist, constitutional republican rule.
If the masses were each of them individuating supercitizens, united in solidarity--ironically, solidarity is only possible among egoists--their clear focus, their solid, utter unity in solidarity, and their fierce courage to set things right, then no elite could long overcome them.
May there be justice and institutional democracy in every American institution.
We naturally hate ourselves. We naturally are selfless, so we hate ourselves, lacking self-esteem. Because we hate ourselves, we are filled with evil, rage, resentment, ingratitude, power-lust, the urge to smash and destroy, to feel victimized to justify taking revenge upon, and victimizing others.
We group-live, group-identify, practice group-ethics (altruism-collectivism); the rule of thumb is the bigger, more colossal, more omni-present is the hierarchy, its elite’s tentacles invading every aspect of society, the more totalitarian and human rights violating is the hierarchy, the more tyrannized and enslaved are the masses, and the more group-oriented, corrupt, selfless, unhappy and collectivist, they become.
There is a link, perhaps not completely knowable, completely definable, between certain concepts: anarchism, liberty, individualism, self-esteem, rationalism, egoism and capitalism.
Where these terms are linked together, there hierarchies still exist, but they are decentralized, strong, but lean, flattened out, allowing maximum individualism, freedom enjoyment, self-controlling, self-determining, decentralized power patterns, with each individual as individuators wielding maximum personal power of powerfulness.
