The Roundabout Proof

 

I, over the years, have often had a flash about human nature and actions, which, in this instance, has led to me, by a circuitous, rambling route, to assume that humans in action provide empirical evidence that God exists. Let me explain.

I largely accept that humans possess incompatibilist free will. Nonetheless, the other day I intuited that much of human choosing, behaviors, and complex social interactions are impelled and driven deterministically by semi-conscious biological and spiritual drives, which we are mostly unaware of following, and which we unwittingly obey (especially when not much awake, conscious and self-conscious in the good way that individuators are) and carry out, but later assume we made these choices solely because we have free will, which we do, but it is most potent and in play as we move beyond group-living, nonindividuating joinerism with its accompanying altruist-collective moral code.

My theory is that all or most people, as social creatures, easily, unerringly, intuitively, instinctively, realistically, automatically, instantaneously and subconsciously rate each person they encounter, and then discover and assess where each person stands in the social pecking order, their rank, their social clout, their popularity, their social cachet, or the lack thereof. Captured is the actual status of each person, the social standing per person, and the rank which society assigned is the actual rank, in most cases, which the individual holds, accepts, is and identifies with. This is social reality, and most everyone knows, it, accepts it, lives in accordance with social rules, and indeed enforces such social demands made on all, and this global acceptance of these social arrangement is tragic, for it victimizes all. That is the system, a rigged system which engenders needless suffering, injustice and cruelty in society, a system constructed by raw nature and the Devil intentionally, a bulwark of hurt against humans finding happiness on earth.

This group-living social scheme requires formal hierarchies, institutions and tyrannical government along with informal social in neighborhoods, communities and in families. It is a sadomasochistic structure of needless suffering inflicted by all against all and against themselves where one bows to the abuser above and the abuses the weaker, poorer or less popular victim down below. Almost all who are victimized in turn take their turn victimizing someone below them in the social compact. Almost all are victimizers and victims at the same time in each person, and all defend this primary source of inflicting pain and suffering upon themselves and others, all people in the world.

Here is where all lack self-esteem and are filed with self-hatred and the psyche suffused with hatred and rage, when it is a community or society-wide share phenomenon, inevitably leads to evil and its vitiating power of powerlessness being spreading across the world and corrupting the entire social fabric, taking over whole societies. Then this corrupt social compact becomes a cultural tradition for the people practicing it, extending for hundreds and perhaps thousands of years. This dysfunctionality and pathology is normalized. Adherents will fight to the death to defend their ancestral way of life.

This social radar, this social sixth sense possessed naturally, socially and spiritually by all people has its, especially in its spiritual aspect of detecting the nature of the soul of each person encountered, has its perfidious effect on all, as the perceiver treats each person encountered based according to their social ranking, their individualist or joiner status, their soul being good or evil.

The common proclivity is to reward, kowtow to and favor those who are wicked, groupist and of high social rank because each perceiver seeks to gain in worldly status, popularity and power, and social rank or degree a liked and rewarded insider is the opened door to being a corrupted, non-egoist belonger accepted into the pack, granted improved, and higher social rank as a reward for conforming to the way things are. The joiners or narcissists that acquire social peer status, do so at the expense of many subjugated victims.

This innate, human sense of quickly rating the nature and social rank of each individual encounters, of ascertaining how how individualistic or spiritually and moral good an individual is, is how we decide to or not associate with them or not, or give them a lower social rating, ranking and popularity deficit mark. This social sense need not lead to the corruption of all in a community but it usually does to varying degrees, of course. There are few brave saints among us, most of us are weak sinners, and just surrender to the way things are done.

If the person is filled with self-hate or no self-esteem, that person grows in social rank, standing and popularity. In this way Satan constructed, controls and manipulates each society. Now, if the devil exists, then he spiritually and ontologically exists. And if there is a dark force, then there is likely or for sure a light force of spiritual goodness, so God exists.

As you can see, both Ayn Rand and I are rational egoists, but we sure head in different directions with our claims about humans and their possible outcomes.
