Existentialists like Isaiah Berlin identify life as tragic, the universe as a void and absurd. Only you exist and you must be courageous and wise and make of your life what you will.
I love their sense of free will, and total personal accountability. There is much tragedy in life, but the Mother and Father exist, so life need not be ultimately tragic. There is divine and spiritual salvation and hope. Nothingness exists. Death is our end. Much is un-explainable and absurd, but much of it can be explained and made meaningful out of a paradoxical, moderate cosmology and theology.
