Humanity's members have fleet of clay. All fail more than they succeed. Almost all people betray others in their lives at some time or the other. All people betray themselves, God and the Good Spirits.
In light of such bleak performance, how do ethicists propose to move humans forward and build community based on cooperation, trust, love and mutual security?
First, love God and seek to live in God's image.
Second, love the self. If you love the self first, then your love of others will be solid, genuine and lasting.
Third, a community based on love and spiritual goodness is a community that will thrive, be peaceful and law-abiding.
