Can You Know An Independent World?

I believe that you can know an independent world. As an epistemological moderate, I believe that we can more than we cannot, but I cannot prove it one way or the other for sure, but will go on living, assuming that I can know things about the world out there, outside my hunches, my experience, my perception.
