Stirner posits that the Unique is all that matter, and that the Self is the final arbiter for all questions, all judgments to be render. As a staunch individualist and moderate, I agree with his take more than not, but do differ a bit. The voice of the group, of the Law, God and neighbors require respectful consideration, and occasional yielding to by the individual due to their superior logic, their moral superiority, and the logical nature of their counterargument.
Stirner denies that divine rules, societal rules or social rules do not apply to the individual. I disagree vehemently with him. The individual should do his own thing, and should not be thwarted in chasing after his aims and dreams, but where just, sensible and benevolent divine rules, societal rules and social mores conflict with individual activity, the individual if logical, temperate and of good will, in most instances, will see the error of his ways, and take immediate corrective action to come into compliance with divine rules, societal rules or social mores.
In all other areas, his decisions must not be countered, and his liberty must not be curtailed, or that is injustice, enforced tyranny and cruelty, on many levels.
