2/6/2022: this young man had no criminal record, and was a legal gun owner and carrier. He slept with the gun by his side, as I do. If the police kicked in the door, and came into my suburban home when I was asleep, I would think it was a robbery, and Amir likely did, and we would point our loaded weapons towards the intruders, and the cops, trained to shoot down any pointing a gun at them, would kill me as they killed him.
These middle-of-the-night, no-knock warrants with swat teams are getting people killed for no reason. Red flags gun laws would allow the same treatment of law-abiding citizens, as no-knock invasions by the police into a private residence leads to innocent civilians being killed. We need no Red flag gun laws.
It turned out that Amir was not the one they were looking for to help a St. Paul homicide investigation.
If that officer that killed Amir is put on trial, then every supervisor above him, up through at least the Chief of Police should be tried for murder, because they set this foolish maneuver into place, and the officer that killed Amir was just the last action of a bad sequence of events and poor decision-making from the cop's bosses.
Now, I want to speak openly and critically to the media and black Americans. The media pile on and hype this white-cop-once-again-killing-black-youth to the nth degree, stirring up all kinds of hatred and racial division. We cannot defang the police or lawlessness will flourish; we cannot have rogue cops killing innocent civilians without justice being applied to the perpetrator, either.
I challenge black Americans, the media and the LEFT to get this worked up, angry and overwrought at black youth and the black community, every time a teen-age black gang banger kills another 16-year-old gang banger.
The message that they send each time a white cop kills a black youth is that this must stop, or we will revolt and burn society down. Society must not allow that.
Blacks must be that angry at their own kids and insist that young black men get out gangs, give up the crime, the drugs, the guns, get a job, get educated and build a life as young men, law-abiding, self-controlled, adult contributors of society.
Unless the black community, the media and the Left join the rest of us to work intensely on each black teenage boy and girl so that they become self-realizing good kids out to make money, keep the peace, follow the law and build for the future--unless they are as worked up about each black youth on black youth killing as they are getting whipped up about the execution of Amir, they protestations are empty, ineffectual and hypocritical.
