Under-Valuing The Self

That we under-value ourselves constantly and naturally is a psychic phenomenon that reveals our wicked origins. We loathe ourselves from birth. Because we hate the diminished, wretched self from infancy, we plot and plan to lie and hide in the pack our entire lives, so that we never feel alone, never encounter the blemished core self, never stand out to face objective scrutiny from others or the self.

As the child is trained up right to be a virtuous adult, she learns to value and esteem the self. she steps out of the group at least a little bit.

Should be become wiser, listen to God more, dare to be confident, individuating and ambitious, she will have come to love God, the self and others as an active, progressing self-actualizer. Then she will have come to the point that she will not over-value the self, but will boldly proclaim to the world and herself how her successful, impressive future career will go.
