Be Strong Emotionally

The Stoics advised that the reasonable person should enjoy self-control to the degree that his emotions are modulated in a moderate range by him and for him so that suffering, pain and loss do not so upset him or overthrow his psychic well-being, or their opposites, enjoyment, pleasure and victory, do not so swell him up or make him assume that endless victory and success are his divine right henceforth.''

His achieved, inner tranquility of emotional reaction gird him against whatever Fate sends his way.

I am for emotional health, and not for emotional repression or over expression, either exuberant nor depressed.. We should run the full emotional range of how we feel and react to daily happenings in the world, without being too emotional, and this inner tranquility can serve to help us survive and to get ahead and be as happy as possible in this troubled world.
