Schmoozing

One can be a full-blown great soul and out-in-the-open individuator and still be friendly, courteous and respectful towards other people.

This friendly approach, where possible, is  not the same as selling out, or schmoozing to gain social standing, popularity and credit.

One should be tough and fight and speak plain truth where necessary, but courtesy and sparing the feelings of others where possible, and speaking diplomatically but honestly are desirable communication practices.
