Prager advised that people follow his rule to be mind-driven and logical, more than heart-driven and emotional. Our feelings must not rule our will, but our will must be ruled by our reason and our logic, as we control our feelings and our natural urges.
Implicit in Prager's rule here is that we are born depraved, and when we feel, we are allowing that bad self free reign. When we think more than feel, and control our feelings and temptations, then we can live as good people.
