Dennis Prager, recently on his talk show, remarked that Leftists are idealists, filled with good intentions and they believe that is sufficient for being good. Indeed, the most evil, totalitarian monsters of the 2oth century were idealists, likely, at least initially to be motivated by good intentions.
The wise Prager admonishes that good intentions do not matter. Without wisdom, as the arrogant, secular Leftists are, they engage in all kins of activities that make the world a worse place, catastrophic unintended, unforeseen consequences.
This is likely why Prager wants people to be rational, to be wise: if you know who and what you are and can anticipate the consequences of what you are planning, you might end up being hesitant to implement your plan of action—you might even pull the plug of support for the plan entirely. Dennis offers that even bad people likely had good intentions.
Nit always. I do note that there are wicked people, that know they are cruel, going around spreading pain, suffering and unhappiness so much. They are thrilled that they are succeeding at their plan to set about destroying, hurting and hating as much as they can while alive, and their bad intention are thus fulfilled.
