There is Biblical evidence to support the metaphysical claim that spiritual or magical power can be used for good or evil practitioners. This occurs as the First Plague where Moses and Aaron serve Yahweh by turning water into blood.
Here is an excerpt from The New American Bible: Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded. Aaron raised his staff and struck the waters of the river in full view of Pharaoh and his servants, and all the water of the river was changed into blood. The fish in the river died, and the river itself became so polluted that the Egyptians could not drink the water. But the Egyptian magicians did the same by their magic arts.
These two Hebrew prophets, working for benevolent Yahweh, were able to work a miracle, or alter natural law as commanded to do the Lord.
But Pharaoh’s magicians could work the same miracle or magic, and they served either pagan gods, or dark forces—I am not sure which, but it does not matter for my purpose, to show that the Bible reveals that superior supernatural law and knowledge can alter natural law and conditions, whether or not the wielder serves a noble deity or a dark deity.
Here is that same passage from the Holy Bible (KJV): And Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; all the waters that were in the river turned to blood.
And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments . . .
