Leftists love excessive taxation.  They steal from the middle class, the upper middle class and the rich to  redistribute hard-earned wealth, generated in the private sector, to the middle class, the lower middle class and the poor, both deserving and undeserving.

If they can get everyone hooked on federal largesse, the addicted will vote Democrat, because most voters vote their pocket book.
