Socialism always promises progress, but it inevitably delivers scarcity, corruption and decay.
Rather than empower the common man, socialists believe in empowering bureaucracy. In their minds, bureaucrats will always make decisions based on science and dispassionate reason – and make sure those decisions are implemented and enforced efficiently.
It’s an elitist, intellectually arrogant belief, and it’s dangerous.

This goes to my point that those promoting government run economies do not believe in liberty, limited government, individual rights, individual competency to run her own affairs, individual-liberty and the for-profit economy.
Socialism always turns into soft tyranny at best, and hard tyranny or totalitarian Marxism at worst.
Where the state is society and all property, people, lives and affairs are owned, controlled and operated by the state, the following always occurs: all live increasingly stratified lives as caste systems and inequality are severely enforced. As the meme above points out, scarcity, starvation, misery, corruption and decay must be the result of implemented socialist policies.
Where all individuals are wards of the state, dependent on the state, groupism, laziness, mediocrity, decline and dullness ensue. This is the future promised as Utopia by Barack Obama and Kamala Harris.
