Misapprehension

 

No one is America understands the Left better than Dennis Prager, who has been studying, interacting with, and battling them for 50 years.

 

I have a short Facebook video excerpt of his about the Left that I will take notes on and then comment upon; this video was posted on 12/10/2023.

 

Video of Prager speaking: “Leftists convinced liberals that there is no democratic reason for, no temperate, just, conservative, or Republican position.

 

It is the Leftists historically as Communists that were totalitarian, vicious abusers of human rights and civil rights abuses. American conservatives and Republicans have never engaged in that kind of behavior, never will, and have no ambition or secret agenda to install a fascist, Christian nationalist government in America—which is what the Left accuses Trump and conservatives of aspiring to and working towards, and liberals have bought into this lie or at minimum, this misapprehension.

 

Leftists accuse, smear, and defame conservatives to silence conservatives, and keep repeating this Big Lie to reinforce liberal misgivings about conservatives, misgivings now set in stone.

 

Many liberals and independents might agree with some conservative positions or principles but are afraid of the slippery slope argument. They will not vote for conservative candidates or support passing conservative legislation at all, lest such successes serve as the first step down to slope towards fascist interest taking over and ruling America. This is a false dilemma. Conservatives can be supported without Adolph Hitler rising from the grave to run roughshod over America tomorrow.

 

Leftist have appointed to themselves the moral high ground: they are noble and compassionate—to oppose them at all is to promote the introduction of regressive, immoral, intolerant, authoritarian laws, and programs.
