Truth-telling

We all lie to ourselves, to others, to each other as a group and we try to lie to the Good Spirits occasionally or often, though it is about impossible to get anything past them.

I am an ethical moderate, so I will not lie and say I never lie, and I think everybody lies some of the time, and it may occasionally be the right or ethical thing to do to protect the innocent (like hiding Jews from the SS in World War II), to protect ourselves, to not hurt feelings, or to stay out of tangles with toxic people we wish to get away from.

In the main it would be better if we all told the truth about 85% of the time, and an adult population of individuators would provide that for America.

A truth-teller will detest being inauthentic or unable to grow because he lies to himself, preventing him from growing and working on his faults, flaws, and misbehavior.

If the religious individuator wishes to have a strong, open relationship with the Good Spirits, she must be truthful, and willing to accept truthful input from them.

It may be painful and unpopular in the short run to tell the truth, but, in the long run, one knows where one stands, and how to act, because all the baloney has been discarded from one’s worldview.
