What is the right attitude to display when you encounter very successful people? Should you say you are proud of the for their self-education, their hard work? Should you declare to yourself that you will learn from them by asking them how to succeeded, and then you can go gain work similarly hard and build your own success?
Or should you be jealous and hate them for being better than you are (They are not but they work harder than you do.)? Should you complain about how greedy they are, or how lucky they are and how unlucky you are?
Should you ignore their success and their presence, and pretend they do not exist? Should you vote Left to see the government grabs their wealth away from them and redistributes it to the power and “deserving”?
You are now jealous and that is a collectivist emotion that stirs up unending trouble in society. You are obsessed with what your successful neighbor is doing, and you want to interfere and mess up their impressive lives. Why don’t you just go build a life for yourself and leave other people alone, to run their own lives as they fit in a way that makes them happy?
