Racism

Racism

Racism is natural all of us as part of our status of original sin. We all, naturally from birth, hate ourselves and suffer from low self-esteem. Hating ourselves renders us angry, bitter, resentful, filled with rage, and eager to lash out at some target, for someone must be blamed for our suffering. We are the victims here after all. And our impugning some outside person or entire alien groups is when, applying our natural racist tendencies to these foreign targets, our natural racism is actuated in the world as applied racism, a systemic patter of attacking and targeting foreign persons or groups. This is a prime well from which flows social injustice.

This entire social psychopathy becomes popular, even institutionalized, and can be passed on from generation to generation, for every new generation of scapegoaters hunger for whipping boy groups to dump on. This is one of the most sinister, under-recognized, under-reported downsides to altruist-collectivist moral codes, and this applied racism to outside individuals and groups must be quelled by the offending community, before system racism or isolated, voluntary acts of racism on a personal level can be quashed or much reduced.

Where we find false pride, and a phony but boastful sense of social self-esteem, the narcissistic kind, is manifested by excessive, groundless pride in our biologically generated or socially generated identity group memberships.

Where a claim to personal or collective pride is hollow and false, the owners of it become passionate about it, fanatical, and more prone to turn violent against opponents and victims of their bigotry, to demonstrate their worthiness and supremacy.

Under egoist-individualist ethics, I still assert that we are born bad, and that being racist and bigoted against outlier groups and individuals seems intuitively right for us. As we begin to reach adulthood as maverized grown-ups, we still enjoy our biological and adopted group identities, but we no longer value ourselves or others based much on their group connections.

What matter is the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Since racism is instinctive bias against outsiders, and the adoption of noisy, over-the-top chauvinism about the superiority and moral worthiness of oneself and fellow insiders, the practice of applied racism to outliers largely will disappear, because the lives of maverizers is governed by egoist values, under which one likes oneself and others, insiders or outsiders, individual-living or group-living, based on their decency, their honesty, their competence, their merit and their high intelligence. Emotional, stereotypes against those from rival tribes are no longer relevant, so applied racist attacks dry up, dismissed as nasty and irrelevant to any agent’s needs or happiness.

If we can teach a majority of our young people to adopt egoist-individual values that lead them to lead adult lives as anarchist-individuator supercitizens, then we will have reared a generation of morally good people that have learned love themselves more than hate themselves, because they are loving, very accomplished, truth-loving friendly citizens so grateful, at peace, contented and enjoying their lives as their private lives, that their natural destroy to hate and scapegoat disappears, recognized for the unpleasant, irrelevant, unsatisfying game that it always was. Who needs to victimize others when one feels blessed. This is how we make applied racism rare and condemned by nearly everyone.
