Dennis Prager on Facebook tonight answers well a question about evil in the world by announcing that evil exists, and that there is much of it in the world. His Jewish people have been hunted for centuries so he knew from early on that evil exists, but he refused to be panic by it, but chose to celebrate the good, and to fight evil where he found it.
He thinks children should not live in a sheltered secular world, in naive ignorance, that evil exists, for when they later encounter it, it will destroy them if they are not prepared to withstand it. Seculars deny that spiritual evil or good exist, but that is foolish. Evil happens here and now, not in other places at at other times, Dennis notes, and evil is common not rare.
It is goodness and love that are rare and have to be cultivated, I assert.
I also ask how gods of goodness can exist if gods of wickedness do not also exist, since the opposite of whatever exists in the world seems to also have an opposite number.
