I subscribe to The Cavalier Chronicle, and on Page 7 of the 9/24/25, was posted a short homily entitled Think Results! Here is the Homily: “There is more power in our prayers than we think. Try listing your own prayers. Then, mark each answered prayer. The results will amaze you. They will encourage your prayer life. Think ‘results’ when you pray this week in church. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. James 5:13-20”

My response: There is no way to improve on this excellent paragraph on how to pray.

Rejoice

 

I subscribe to The Cavalier Chronicle and on Page 7 of the 12/17/25 edition was a short homily, named Don’t Just Put On A Happy Face. I will write it out and comment on it: “If you seek inner peace, begin by rejoicing in the Lord.”

My response: I approve: inner peace is much more achievable if one is happy and content, and rejoicing about God being in your heart, your soul, your whole being will go a long way to allowing you to feel at peace inside and be at peace inside.

Homily: “God is for us, not against us.”

My response: It is Satan who is against us.

Homily: “God is with us, not some abstraction.”

My response: I am a homespun intellectual, a promoter of rational theology, so thinking abstractly about our relationship with God is vital if we are to know how to live, how to welcome God into our lives. That being said, God being with us and in us is a wonderful, actual state of being, not some abstraction.

Homily: “That alone gives us reason to celebrate and rejoice. Praise God and rejoice in the Lord this week in church. Rejoice in the Lord always. Philippians 4:4-7. ”

Praiseworthy

 

I subscribe to The Cavalier Chronicle, and on Page 7 weekly they carry a short homily, and I will write out the one posted on 10/1/25, entitled Praiseworthy. Here it is: “Stand back. Look at your life. Realize what God has done. Dare to count your blessings. Then, how can you not praise the Lord? Praise God this week in church. I will praise you. Hebrews 1:1-14; 2:5-12.”

My response: Be grateful, count your blessings and praise God effusively.

Postmodern Fanatics

 

Stephen R. Hicks wrote the book on cultural Marxism/Postmodernist Leftism. He argued in his 2004 book, Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism From Rousseau to Foucalt, that Leftists in America, on moral, historical and scientific grounds, were demoralized, bitter and largely defeated by the 1950s, that socialism and communism were rightly discredited. Rather than abandon their embattled ideology, brilliant, devious French and American professors, resorted to skeptical epistemology to discredit, disarm and hold back their discreditors, to undermine Modernism, capitalism, classical liberalism, the Enlightenment, and most sinfully and impactfully, to undermine human belief in and resort to the wondrous power of reasoning.

He asked late in his book, what was the nature of their living in accordance with the stark contradiction evident between their skeptical epistemology and their absolutist, political, ideological adherence advocating Communism. Can these be conflicting approaches be reconciled?

I accept that Marxist postmodernists hold these conflicting views but I deny that they are irreconcilable, because they only appear to be or are only superficially contradictory, so they are reconcilable because the supposed opposing views are but book ends of the same immoderate stream of thinking. True believers like the cultural postmodernists are imbued with two drastic, polar epistemological stances at the same time. They are wholly skeptical about others doctrines and their claims to knowledge while dogmatically, with full stop optimism express total confidence about the rightness of their own epistemology and doctrine as 100%, absolutely right, wholly certain and inerrant.

But, deep inside their fanaticism is the quagmire, the treacherous ground which is the foundation of postmodernism, which is directly tied to extremism, passion lies, illusions and that poorly reasoned and intuitively unsound and illogical line of thinking which, subconsciously, they know their epistemology and doctrines are not truthful or objective. Deeply repressed inside they know the unacknowledged truth: they know their views are junk but they as true believers who have no self esteem, no meaning, so amazing is their ability to endure, to not totally collapse for they are required to accept wholly the garbage which they have been told is worth sacrificing themselves and dying for.

Marxist postmodernists are true believers or fanatics; fanatics are so completely anti-something that they are also for something. So their out-of-power deconstructive skepticism, about status quo metanarratives of those in power whom they are striving mightily to dislodge, will be abandoned once no longer needed to gull the sleeping masses. Their postmodernist, relativist epistemology is an act not genuinely felt or lived; it is part rhetoric and strategy, part sincere and part actually believed, but Hicks is correct that it is mostly a rhetorical weapon applied in real politic arena to gain power, their sole political aim..

But once in power, they do not hide their epistemological absolutism any longer, their real epistemology, believed by them and held by them all along. Once empowered, there is no longer a need to hide their ultraist, fanatical views from the subjugated public. Now they swing to the other extreme expressing with hyper dogmatism, bold, excessive optimism and certitude of belief in what they claim to know. This new stance contradicts their previous stance, and their absolutist, new stance is superficially contradicting the previous stance and seems antithetical to their prior epistemology, but in actuality, the conflicting views of then and now are just poles poles of same spectrum, ideological, not factual, truthful or logical.

My analysis of how to resolve the contradiction which Hick reveals, is separate from—without disagreeing with Hick’s solution, but is rather meant to supplement explanatorily the explanation which he lays out. Hicks points out that postmodernists as fanatics are actually epistemological dogmatists all along and they know it, but, they disguise their epistemological radicalism to gain ground, when out of power, for they dare not alert the majority of a people as to their radicalism, their true intention to seize power and outlaw any thoughts or creed deviating from their own.

While out of power and seeking to foment revolution, the postmodernist revolutionaries pretend to be skeptical to gaslight the narratives of the status quo so the masses will lose hope and faith in official narratives so they will be ripe conversion to the metanarratives promoted by the revolutionaries.

I believe Eric Hoffer is suggesting the same pattern among up and coming mass movements in a society.

In the hands of these Marxist revolutionaries, skeptical epistemology is a rhetorical and political weapon: once in power they will be doctrinaire as they have been secretly all along. That is their conscious take on epistemology and their absolutist, sincerely held epistemology is consistent with their absolutist political beliefs and agenda; there is nothing to be reconciled, when they tell the truth about their views.

Nevertheless, on a subconscious level as fanatics, they hold unshakably and for dear life onto a tissue of radical lies and half-truths bundled together inside and underneath their surface consciousness, and severed from it. This subconscious web of lies and cherished fantasies about reality and the human condition are junk, and the mass movement of true believers underneath know their beliefs and way of knowing are pure nonsense. But to live with themselves, to render their frustrated life experience bearable at all, they wall off all that is true, all that they so effectively deny.

They keep saying their story of reality, their means of knowing it, and the content of their stories is at the apex of human intellectual development: a state of knowledge which is self-contained, final, complete, perfect, beautiful, and absolutely right, that all these doctrines, views and explanation lead to the one true faith, the ism which they serve and worship. They ardently believe what is worthless and that belief has to be defended as unalterable, narrative perfection.

Epistemologically, (The cultural postmodernist is no exception.) these wild extremes, of assuming epistemological relativism when convenient and blazing forth in public announcement of absolute epistemological supremacy of view once running things, of believing everything one believes is perfection because one believes in nothing or junk underneath, which seem contradictory but are actually poles of a commonality, a mendacious and passionate commonality which constitutes the entirety of intellectual content inside the consciousness of the true believer.

To cobble together a self built on passion, lies and frivolous junk as it is long held and indulged in, makes the integrated consciousness of the self bottom out; then the self-loathing is pure, deep embedded and complete, when producing that much self hatred and resentment. That festering self is a volcano ready to erupt in public, collectively, then a desire to destroy all and everything including the self, desiring for all existence to be exterminated, and that is naked, practiced evil or pure nihilism.

The cultural Marxists play all these games of pure noncognitivism about narratives, all while inside holding ultra-orthodox, ultraist dogmatic beliefs, narrative and claims of knowing, then playing political games. This all further damages an already sick, fragile personal psyche with sheer negative stress levels maximized. What amazes me is why already such fragile, embittered egos do not immediately collapse under the weight of all this negativity and falsity. Somewhere in the future they will collapse.

Hicks suggests these postmodernist epistemological and political claims are irreconcilable, and offers three options, that postmodernist unwittingly hold these views either suffer from cognitive dissonance, use epistemological duplicity as a weapon of strategic advantage to announce and hold such incoherent, juxtaposed beliefs or they hold these inconsistent believes sincerely and that it will psychologically destroy them.

But the postmodernists hold these contradictory views only temporarily as a political campaign weapon. They will shed tolerance, cooperation and inclusiveness towards other metanarratives and systems of beliefs as soon as they run the army, the police, and hold the totalitarian reins of government int heir hands.

To repeat my further point added onto the one Hicks makes about this glaring contradiction is that is they do not hold onto it on one hand as he describes it. But at the same time, perhaps without knowing it in a mood of willful blindness, that all fanatics believe in nothing and claim to know everything in the same psyche all the time. This explains their wild, emotionalist mood swings in epistemology believing in one moment in nothing, and then twenty minutes later, bragging about their absolute, unchallengeable knowledge about the world and all in it.

An epistemological moderate knows more than she does not, when she is truth apt, realistic and aligned with truth-makers and her words and propositions are truth-bearers. She will never boast that she knows it all for sure, or that she knows nothing for sure, but that she can reach knowledge conclusions that are right with high probable certainty, certain enough for her to make decisions and to judged others and herself ethically.

The postmodernists talk skepticism but these true believers, like all fanatics of whatever doctrinal pronouncements, are possessed of an epistemology of infallible knowledge, they believe. That is the way to see the world, they proclaim. They have not a skeptical bone in their body towards their own beliefs and epistemology, though their contempt for and rejection of the epistemology of competitors is totalistic. Postmodernists are not relativists: they view the world in black-and-white terms.

Postmodernists in their revolutionary or political role of seeking power violently, as underdogs talk skeptical epistemology without believing in it. Their claim to be relativistic is but a weapon to disarm their opponents, and to win over the public to not believing the metanarratives of the status quo which they seek to overthrow.

Hicks carefully and in detail lays out how their skeptical epistemology not be accepted at face value by those outside the mass movement, though the postmodernists proclaim it long and loudly. Their epistemological skepticism is but is a clever ruse, hiding their absolutist epistemology, their true-believing, passionate metanarrative that totalitarian cultural Marxism, Communist economics and dictatorship of the proletariat are actually their consistent view of the world, their plan, their holy cause, not to be shared with the public until their revolution has been victorious. Like other evildoers, their hide their intent, until they take over, lest their virtuous enemies discover their plot, and thus know how to defeat them in time to save the country under assault.

My take is that fanatics talk epistemological skepticism about the metanarratives of the status quo majority but their skepticism is a weapon of revolution to overthrow all that is. They inside do not believe in any non-absolutists epistemology about their cherished beliefs, their cherished metanarratives.

But fanatics, without self-esteem and self-love are essentially nihilistic creatures. They believe in nothing but pure deconstruction, nonsense, lies and absurd beliefs because their souls are empty and hollowed out, so they join a pack a mass movement, and adopt the totalist epistemology of their guru and his mass movement and his holy cause, in order to be accepted into the pack, and to fill the void on the agonized surface of their conscious state of mind.

They are epistemological relativists until they come to power and then their epistemological absolutism is revealed and their belief in it is total and sincerely held. In reality inside their minds is a vigorous, active contradiction, a subconsciously operating epistemological contradiction for those believing in nothing tell the world, their peers and themselves that they believe in the one true faith and know everything perfectly, that their beliefs are without error or exception. Thus complete lack of conviction is wedded tightly to a public ideological claim of complete conviction, and this is the epistemology they believe in, though they do not talk relativism unless they are out of power and on the make to win the public over. Their schizophrenic epistemology is tied to their totalitarian, ideology. It is utter lies and denial of liberty, private life and independent thought all the way down.

Mavellonialist Technical Terms

 

Altruism: the groupist moral code whose supporters insist is morally good, but I assume the opposite, that generally, to be motivated by altruism in making moral decisions is to grow evil in the world.

 

Anarchist Individuating Supercitizens: Once a majority of adults in any given society assume their natural right to run society as a group of organized, cooperative, united block of very involved, very informed voters, lobbyists and political activists, these millions of citizens, these supercitizens, who are the individuated masses, will rule society, and control government on all levels. Their constant, informed, dominant emphasis on the little, common people running things forever is the practice and effect of a fully engaged citizenry which earns these citizens the laudatory title of being supercitizens.

They as anarchists will keep society mostly local and self-governing not unlike Swiss cantons, so these proponents and enjoyers of canton-living keep society mostly of small, limited, frugal but lithe, powerful government with in mind to maximize the liberty and wealth creation and retention of each supercitizen. They will set up a republican constitutional government with a strong militia of citizens armed to the teeth, with elites kept in check and bossed by them, in a free market economy, with some institutions and hierarchies of firm but limited reach out into society and private lives, whose taxes are collected from the citizens working and running businesses in this free market system.

 

 Children of Light: Humans devoted to and worshiping good deities, seeking to grow heaven and the reach of heaven on earth.

 

Children of Darkness: Those humans who willingly and consciously or willingly but accidentally work to expand the existent worldly grip of the Dark Couple over the lives of all humans; these children are working towards being living demons, to after death become actual demons.

 

 Collectivism: The belief, that people collectively, especially elevating concerns like group-rights, group-living, group-identifying, and group values (altruism), are the primary foci of interest and explanation as one arranges social and political arrangements, is a failed social philosophy which only grows suffering, tyranny and want among a people in any society, governed by social and political collectivism.

Constitutional republicanism: America’s federal system of constitutional republicanism is the ideal system for all countries in the world to aspire to and enact, for it is optimal for optimizing personal liberty and opportunity for the anarchist-individuator-supercitizen to grow his talents and power.

 

 De: A collective pronoun for the Mother and the Father, alluded to as a married couple, together or one at a time

Egoism: The individualistic moral code, whose few supporters declare that being motivated mostly by self-interest and self-assertion over self-sacrifice and selfless, is the superior moral code through which to grow love and goodness in the world.

Enlightened Self-Interest: Ayn Rand is correct about egoism being the preferred, superior morality, but the trope of hers that virtue is selfishness, though largely accurate and realistic, is a most unfortunate tautology for human virtuousness. Being a virtuous person is best expressed when characterized—less offensive to the altruist and traditional moralists out there—as an agent guided by enlightened self-interest, especially if the adult agent has made her move to self-realize—in her singular, customized fashion—as life’s goal.

Evil: that metaphysical reality, force or principle which expand chaos, lawlessness, barbarism, ignorance, disease, hunger, tyranny, violence, injustice in the world. It is hatred; it is slavery; it is immoderate, it is selflessness. When encountered as it is, evil is a spiritual and moral energy, though it manifests itself in nature, in society. Evil is hatred, immoderation, other-interest and being enslaved by self and others or both at the same time.

Fate: The universe, the world, totality itself, the entire aggregation of all that is and all that is not. Fate likely is a spiritual as well as a physical aggregation.

Good: That metaphysical reality, force or principle which grows cosmos, law and high culture in the world. Love, wisdom, knowledge, science, cures, high art, intellectual originality and new discoveries, liberty, enough to eat, civil society, material plenty wand capitalist wealth generation, respectful treatment of and reclamation of the environment while using its resources, peace, cooperation and justice in the world though the supercitizens remain armed and ready to fight if attacked. Good is love, moderation, self-interest and freedom.

Great Soul: Once the individual chooses to dedicate her life to her individuated good deity by individuating herself, developing her strength, goodness, love, talent, artistry, skill, intelligence and power over her lifetime, as she moves along her selected life pathway, she is transformed by God and by her efforts, increasingly appearing as a good soul, a highly individuated and individuating good soul, whose consciousness is now so enhanced, that she justifiably and rightly can self-refer and is referred to by her attending good deity as a great soul-made-or in the making-or made but continuing to improve.

Group-Identity When the individual regards his personal identity with being identical to the group identity of his collective affiliation or collective affiliations.

Group/Groupism: The social center of demonic forces presiding therein.

Group-Living: The groupist mode of living, the insistence that living as a pack member is the preferable human lifestyle.

Group Rights: The declaration that the rights of the group supersede and supervene any group members personal interests, needs or ambitions. The corollary to this is the heavily enforced commandment to each member to bend the need to group preferences should any conflict arise between the group enforcing its rights over and against individual rights, which are suppressed and deemphasized.

Group Values: Altruism.

Hate: It is low-esteeming of others which grows out of low self-esteeming base in self-renunciation and self-detestment. This natural human condition, the dominant aspect of our psychological makeup, is also expressed and worsened by living selflessly, practicing altruist-collectivist ethics, living immoderately. Hate also is connected to demonic energy at work in every consciousness.

Individual-Identity: When an individual regards his values, dreams and hopes as comprising what is his makeup, his self-identity, and this is a priority for him deciding how to run and lead his life henceforth.

Individualism: The belief that the individual is the sovereign person, subject and concern for framing political, ethical and structural arrangements in society.

Individual-Living: The brand new Mavellonialist, proposed mode o living, which, when assumed and adopted by an agent, is effected when the individual as an adult individuator comes of out of collectivist social closet announcing to the world that henceforth she shall live mostly as an individual, and individuating loner, not much as a nonindividuator or joiner running in packs within hierarchies and huge, bloated institutions.

Individual Rights: The individual is to fulfill his own rights usually first as he meets his need to discover and flesh out what is identified as his personal, natural rights, and that is his primary concern and out of that flows his considering group rights of groups he is affiliated with.

Individual Values: Egoism.

Lera: She is the wife of Satan, or Lucifer, the mother of demons, the maternal member of the Dark Couple. She is the Head Bad Witch.

Living Angel: When the individual becomes filled with gratitude, love and happiness, after choosing to dedicate her life to her adopted good deity by individuating, this act of high-living, devotion, self-discipline and self-sacrifice of the self to the divinity as an individual whose wholesome self-interest is teleologically growing that self, as she goes through life, she is becoming, while still mortal and alive, more and more like an immortal good angel, so she is a living angel at work in the here and now while still here.

Love: It is high-esteeming others as an outgrowth and outreach from high-esteeming the self. Self-loves grows out of self-affirmation and self-care. This weak natural human disposition can be strengthened through some kind of virtue ethics under which the agent builds for herself a virtuous character a good and free will, high self-stem and strong self-love which is then exported to other human beings. Love is an upwelling of spiritual goodness in every consciousnes.

Mavellonialism: My personal philosophy, religion and ethical system, as an integrated whole, an evangelical mission on my part to invite people voluntarily to select the good deity, male or female, of their choice, and to self-realize for a life time, a living gift, granted by this individual giver to that chosen deity, of appreciated, developed personal love and talent which expands the Light Couple’s kingdom here on earth. The individuator that takes up this divine calling is advancing and spreading the cause and number of mavericks on earth who serve a good deity.

Maverization/to maverize: When the individual, in a spiritually good mode of enlightened self-interest, elects to self-realize, she individuates and can be labeled an individuator, or a maverizer, who is actively maverizing, and to maverize is to grow the cause of maverization or Mavellonialism, the faith of individuated mavericks, in the world.

Moderation: My presupposition, my statement that ontologically, spiritual and moral goodness are defined as the middle way, most of the time, in most applications.

Nonindividuator/ To nonindividuate: The existential role assumed by any human being, of his own free will, to refuse to be all that he can be, by refusing to individuate as commanded to do by God or his good deity. He is mostly just mediocre if he does not answer and live the divine call and invitation, but if he persecutes individuators, or blatantly, directly defies the Divine Inviter, God or the good deity, whom the nonindividuator nominally or superficially claims to worship, then this nonindividuator is now acting wickedly, and divine justice will be visited upon him.

Other-Care: The ethical duty assumed by each human to care for neighbors, friends, family members. The altruistic and noble of secondary moral law which the ethical agent is to live in her life, to serve and care for others, but usually as most adults maverize, others are ordinarily best situated to take care of themselves, and interference from a well-intentioned neighbor only gets in their way of doing a great job of tending their own garden.

Poor Choosing: When an individual makes the fateful decision to do nothing and nothing positive with her life, going with her innate preferences (To act altruistically and unselfishly, to group-identify, to to highlight group-rights, to group-live and stay in the herd.), she is slowly working towards living as a living demon.

Pronouns for Fate: The One, Everything/Nothing, Fe.

Pronoun For the Father: He, De.

Pronouns for Lera: She, Le.

Pronoun for the Mother: She, De.

Pronouns for Satan: He, Sa.

Satan: He is the Chief Devil, the husband of Lera, the father of demons, the paternal member of the Dark Couple.

Self-Actualize: To individuate, to maverize.

Self-Care: The acceptance of the fact that the best way to care for others and oneself is to take care of the self first and primarily, living the life of an individuator caring for herself. Self-Care: The ethical responsibility for each human to love herself, discipline herself and expect from of herself, so that she is sensible enough, empathetic enough and strong enough with internal resources to spare to care for others.

Self-Interest: The unselfish willingness to grow up and do one’s pleasurable duty and chief source of happiness and contentment found in living adventurously, the life of the individuator. As or should most adults maverize, this greatly reduces the need to sacrifice for others, or to have others sacrifice themselves for oneself. When everyone or most are self-sufficient, there is little need for self-sacrificing for the sake of others.

Selflessness: The selfish refusal to grow up and do one’s duty and self-realize, or to refuse to sacrifice the self to others or others to oneself.

The American Way: This is my general phrase capturing America’s political system, its free markets, it middle class, middle-brow culture, and that that is the way the whole world shooed live, blending our way of life with their native, local ways of life.

The Dark Couple: For me darkness is or can be a natural and supernatural symbol of spiritual corruption; ergo, Satan and Lera together are referred to by me as the Dark Couple.

The Light Couple: For me light is a natural and supernatural symbol for the existence and presence of spiritual goodness, hence the Father and the Mother are referred to by me as the Light Couple.

The Father: He is the Chief Good Deity, otherwise known as Jupiter, Zeus, Yahweh or Father Sky. He is the husband of The Mother, father of angels, the paternal member of the Light Couple.

The Mother: She is the Good Mistress of the universe, the wife of the Father, otherwise known as Hera or Mother Earth or Juno; she is the maternal member of the Light Couple; she is the mother of angels.

The Power of Powerfulness.:This is good, benevolent power owned and wielded by each individual to self-realize and canton-live as a supercitizens in his polity. The individual is powerful and the government and corporations are small and strong but of limited power and scope, permanently kept relatively powerless.

The Power of Powerlessness: This is the centralization of power in the hands of an elite running every clique, every polity, every organization, every institution. The power of powerlessness makes the group and collective one large individual, depriving all members of their power, liberty, and resources and money to live and run their own lives on their own independently. Tyrants and elites wield the negative evil power of powerlessness and all of their victims and subjects willingly allow their being pressed, enslaved exploited and abused to go on into perpetuity. This type of power makes the collective powerful and its members powerless and bound to the collective.

Wise Choosing: When an individuator chooses to live egoist ethics, to individual-identify by individuating, emphasizing individual rights over group rights, and settles for individual-living as a loner instead of group-living as a joiner and nonindividuator.

Generosity Of Spirit

 

I subscribe to The Cavalier Chronic, and they post a homily of Page 7 every week. The homily for 11/5/25, was entitled Can Quality Beat Quantity?, and I coped it below: “For the Lord, motivation is everything.”

My response: God easily reads the human heart so our motivation is easily discerned byDe. Quality may be more important than quantity of offering.

Chronicle: “Grudging giving has little merit. Nor does flamboyant giving to earn public approval. God knows our heart. Whether it’s time, treasure or prayer, each has worth to God. Learn more about good giving this week in church.

For all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty. Mark 12:38-44.”
