Interesting Contrast
One of my colleagues (Loren) from Minnesota Gun Rights posted an Internet meme about young white officer Cody Holte being murdered by a black man (Salamah Pendleton) in Grand Forks, North Dakota last Wednesday (5/27/2020).
Now, when a white man, a cop, in Minneapolis kills a black man, riots, arson, violence and looting break out.
When a black man kills a white cop in Grand Forks, no protests, no looting, no rioting occur? Why is that.
I will offer some suggestions:
1. Why do urban people, Leftists, people of color (not all of them and likely not a majority of them)--egged on by outside Marxists agitators like Black Lives Matter and Antifa showing up to ignite local rioting, violent street protests and property destruction misbehave when gross injustice against one of their own is perpetrated--when white European Americans in Grand Forks do not riot?
Is it because whites are morally or genetically superior to people of color, so when an outrageous case of violent injustice is committed against a member of their own ethnic group, they do not riot but, though angered, restrain themselves peacefully and legally, like civil, civilized Americans, allowing the criminal justice system to adjudicate the matter through official, legal channels.
No, white middle class Americans do not riot and street protest because they are not superior, but they have adopted more civilized, superior values that guide their behavior in times of intense, social crisis. Conservative Americans love our country, our non-racists, tolerant, accepting, liberty-loving, liberty-granting great America. They understand or have come to accept that legal, peaceful, nonviolent protests and assembly in the streetsare how liberty, justice, the rule of law, civilization-maintenance, and the preservation of the civil society are upheld and extended.
The Democrats and the radical Left have countenanced, and even promoted and endorsed streets violence, looting, arson, property destruction and even, potentially, armed revolution to empower their Marxist tyranny.
We Republicans, conservatives, liberals and independents must reach out to the young, the college-educated, the radicals, and people of color to win them over to our side, that we solves injustices within the system by legal means, eschewing the illegal and violent methods employed by extremists on the Left.
We must reach out to people of color and the young to encourage them to individual-live more than group-live. If the rioters and looters were individuating anarchists and individual-livers, they would never join a mob or tear up the community because their superior lifestyle renders them unwilling to engage in barbaric, violent, criminal behavior.

Nothingness Revisited
What is nothingness? Could Parmenides have been correct in positing that to exist is to think, so we cannot think about nothingness because we cannot think about what does not exist.
I believe that Paremenides has a point: to think is to be, but existence is more than that too. With that in mind, it seems likely that nothingness exists, even though it is the lack of, the end of, or absence of Being. This self-contradiction is absurd and yet it is reality, I believe. I cannot prove it, but I sense that it is so.
Nothingness might just be empty space or pure emptiness, a lack of objects or existents occupying said space and time.
Is Nothingness possibly just primordial universe before the Big Bang, chaos and silence and stuff until the Big Bang, God and cosmos handed us the ordered universe. I favor this viewpoint best.
Or is Nothingness the opposite realm to Everythingness/the Fate/the One, God vs. Satan, or Life versus Death? Is Nothingness Death? In part, yes.
If there is no God, no spiritual realm, only this material universe, then when we die that is it.
If there is no objective reality, can all we know is our own consciousness, our own concepts that grow out of our experiences with the world alleged to exist out there, is Nothingness what is beyond our subjective consciousness.?
Are we alone in the universe, with no other intelligent species our there, alone in a cold, cruel, indifferent universe unhurried and unconcerned about petty, mortal humans and their local issues and probelms? I doubt it, for I believe that God exists, and the universe can be cold, indifferent, meaningless and unintelligible, but by believing in and talking to Go, we can find positive meaning and hope despite mortality, doubt and Nothingness constantly eating away at our confidence, our self-esteem, our sense of hope.
We can create love, knowledge and expand the cosmos as part of God's kingdom builders.

My sister, a moderate conservative, who is very bright but not enthusiastically intellectual, surprised me on the phone a few minutes ago, by criticizing college educated adults from Generation Y and Generation Z, for allowing federal tyranny of the public, a fascist overreaction to suppressing constitutional rights and private liberties in the name of public safety, due to hysterical responding to the dangers of Covid-19.
Her observation is that people without college degrees are more skeptical and doubting of federal proclamations about Covid-19, than are the young, college-educated adults, believing whatever authorities tell them. They are true believers in Leftism, (Government and socialism are good and whatever political leaders and technical experts order the public to do is gospel, to be unquestioning accepted and obeyed. Suspension of civil liberties and declaration by governors of martial law condition are necessary to deal with this unprecedented health crisis.), and live group-lives. Their fixed ideas, their worship the secular faith of Leftism, their brainwashing as conformist, group-think myrmidons by the institutions of education, have left them groupist, without independent thinking or love of personal thinking and questioning, emotional and fanatical about socialism, and all of its political, economic, ideological and cultural manifestations.

Good Spirits
The Good Spirits, angels serving and following the Divine Couple, are minor deities in their own right. They are not biologically living, but they exist as immortal existents, or at least are very long-lived. They exist in the spiritual realm.
The Good Spirits can be prayed to--indeed I pray to them more than to the Divine Couple--as well as appealing directly to the Mother and the Father.
Indeed, I prefer praying to these minor deities--for such spiritual communing and conversing is good enough for me. I do not need to go right to the top, not wanting, over routine personal matters and needs, to bother the Mother and Father, so busy with so many competing concerns.

The Assertion

His severe Taoist skepticism leaves no room for human thought, human culture, the development of civilization, and the West itself cannot exist without reasoning and some adherence to some abstractions.
We humans require communication and common structures of understanding out there in communal and objective reality for us to share thoughts, to exist, to love and remain sane.
We can have no ideas, let alone anticipating the capture of certain knowledge about the world and ourselves, as we flesh out our concepts in clear, concise, meaningful language.

Sweeping Condemnation

The Benefits
One of the things that I admire and enjoy about Levin in Liberty and Tyranny, Page 139-140, he sums up nicely the benefits that Westerners enjoy from the Enlightenment, free enterprise, constitutional republicanism and parliamentary democracy: "For the Conservative scientific and technological advances, especially since the Industrial Revolution, have largely benefited mankind. Duped

Extolling Nature
On Page 134 of Liberty and Tyranny, Mark Levin demonstrates how Enviro-Statists place the value of nature against and higher tha the value of humans: "If nature has 'intrinsic value' then nature exists for its own sake. Consequently, man is not to be preferred over any aspect of his natural surroundings. He is no better than any other organism and much worse than most because of his destructive existence. And so it is that the Enviro-Statist abandons reason for faith that preaches human regression and self-loathing. I agree that nature has intrinsic value on its own, but God did appoint humans with rule over the kingdom of nature for minerals, food, shelter, etc. Humans are still stewards of nature, but it must be a responsible stewardship.

Unless the reporters, Progressive intellectuals and celebrities that preach Leftism are recognized for what they are--Progressive true believers serving in their mass movement's army, then Americans will not know who they are being attacked by, and how truly serious, deadly and dangerous they are. Once exposed for what they are , the public will know what they are up to and how to defeat them. The article is written by Alana Mastrangelo today.
Harvard Law Professor Adrian Vermeule
suggests using the Chinese virus pandemic as an excuse to establish a
new interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, implementing Marxist
policies that do away with concepts such as “free speech ideology” and
“property rights.”
Adrian Vermeule, a professor of constitutional law at Harvard Law School, recently wrote a piece for the Atlantic
in which he argues that traditional interpretations of the U.S.
constitution have “now outlived its utility,” and that it is now time
for the government to take a more centralized role in people’s lives.“Such an approach,” wrote Vermeule, “should be based on the principles that government helps direct persons, associations, and society generally toward the common good, and that strong rule in the interest of attaining the common good is entirely legitimate.”
Vermeule also scrutinizes “the libertarian assumptions central to free-speech law and free-speech ideology,” which he says is “forbidden to judge the quality and moral worth of public speech,” and therefore, should “fall under the ax.”
The law professor even goes as far as stating that “property rights and economic rights will also have to go,” because they “bar the state from enforcing duties of community and solidarity in the use and distribution of resources.”
Vermeule claims that this “global pandemic” makes for the perfect opportunity to implement such strategies that grow government, insisting that “it has become clear that a just governing order must have ample power to cope with large-scale crises of public health and well-being.”
The professor also noted that when he says the government should get involved in “health,” he is referring to that “in many senses, not only literal and physical but also metaphorical and social.”
Vermeule even acknowledges that “the central aim of the constitutional order is to promote good rule, not to ‘protect liberty’ as an end in itself,” and that one common-good principle will be “that no constitutional right to refuse vaccination exists.”
“Constitutional law will define in broad terms the authority of the state to protect the public’s health and well-being, protecting the weak from pandemics and scourges of many kinds,” wrote Vermeule.
The professor even goes on to admit that implementing such principles would require overriding “selfish” claims of individuals to private rights, and that his interpretation of constitutional law means that “rulers” should be afforded a “broad scope.”
I cannot think of anything that Vermeule is warning about is not the truth and is not occurring. It should scare the hell out of all of us.

Levin tonight chastised a caller that did not get Mark's retort suggesting the a conservative revival requires that all hands are on deck. The restoration will not occur until, or go as deep as necessary, unless every conservative, independent and every Libertarian do all they can, in their personal lives, to fight tyranny, and Leftism.

Challenged
Someone near to me that is a liberal not a Leftist recently chided me for holding some moral reservations about the gay lifestyle. I think no one should bother gays at all, but I deny that marriage as a sacrament can exist between married gays, and civil union is all they get.
God is the Mother and married Father, and marriaged is between a man and a woman, so gays cannot participate in that. God loves gays, nonetheless, but the heterosexual majority cannot participate in that minority lifestyle.
This relative was baiting me, citing some article about how heinous are gay conversion therapy is.
I really have not spent much time thinking about it, but, if a gay wanted to go straight, and some such therapy was honest, reputable and well-planned, it might be acceptable for a gay to adopt a straight life style.

My answer is yes, good and evil exist because God exists and the Devil exists, and good is spiritual, moral and biological power that flow from God, whereas evil is spiritual, immoral and biological power or energy spread by Satan.
Let us examine this wonderful video. Prager asks if good and evil exist. He obviously asserts that they do, as identified as religious values, as Judeo-Christian values.
Secularists deny that good and evil exist, only relativist, secular values.
Dennis raises a question: How do we know that murder is wrong? We don't without existent God, for then there is no objective truth, no moral facts. Among the secular humanists there are only moral opinions.
Dennis leads with the remark that our Judeo-Christian values are predicted on the existence of God, and God and God's moral facts are the source of Western Civilization. His worry is that good and evil will not exist if there is no God.
Dennis agrees that there are many decorous, good atheists while those believers that have done evil in God's name. God will not force believers to do good: they must elect to do so.
Dennis avows that good and evil exist objectively if God exists, and morality is not mere personal opinion. We need moral absolutes but if there were no God, just moral relativism, personal opinion.
Dennis warned that Judeo-Christian values were rejected int he 20th century by Stalin, Mao and Hitler as they murdered 100 million people. With the rejection and loss of religously back moral values, worldly murdering unfolded wholesale.
God and the values that God bestowed on Western peoples led to Western society abolishing slavery, promoting universal human rights, liberty and the emancipation of women.

I am frightened. I am a moderate, some kind of epistemological fallibilists. God exists, object reality exists, objective truths exist, can be written down in human words for us to use. What I have just asserted, I believe with probable certainty, and that is enough to build a future restoration for Western values, for a rebirth of Age of Enlightenment values. God exist and provides us with moral values to know what is good and what is evil, and then fight for the good and against evil perpetrated by the wicked.
