You complain that you have fled duty and liberty and personal fulfillment to hide in and settle for ease, conformity and pack mediocrity as your chosen way of living, because being yourself is just too hard.
That may be the case, but your God-given task is to live as you for an individuated life time. That is the self that God gave you, so respond favorably by running with this blessing as it is.
