The Founders accepted that the Creator existed, made the world, set up natural law to run it, conferred inalienable rights upon us, and then inspired political thinkers to dream up constitutional republicanism.
Rights and liberty came from God, so the individual citizens is to pursue these rights with limited but powerful federal government to preserve and protect these rights.
Citizens must be virtuous and principled in their private lives, and then allow these ethical values to carry over into the public arena, whereat each voter, as individuated anarchist and supercitizens, can pass and obey wise laws, all while keeping corruption out of government.
