Here is a biblical quote from The New American Bible: “In your mercy you led the people you redeemed; in your strength you guided them to your holy dwelling.”
My response: God is leading the Hebrews that he just saved to His holy dwelling, which I interpret as heaven. This is an indirect proof that Hebrews believed in heaven and hell, an afterlife, and that is the view that Dennis Prager holds.
We would need to repent our sins of our own free will, and lead sufficiently good lives spiritually and morally to be allowed into heaven, but God will lead us there if we are willing to follow De’s lead.
Here is that same quote from the Holy Bible: “Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.”
