Today I start writing Christmas cards, a tradition of ours going back almost 40 years. The house and yard are all decked out, lit and festive. I even have some CDs of classic Christmas carols and what not to set the mood.
Jane has the tree up and presents are starting to accumulate under the tree.
It just makes one feel blessed to be an American and to reside in and raise a family where plenty and opportunity are still available. If only we can preserve the American Way, and export our culture, our values, and our political system to the world. It is really the only way for any of us to progress. Conservatives are the genuine progressives.
