Abandoning God

It may seem like people are abandoning God and religion, and maybe they are. But this criticism has been hurled against non-denominationalists, unbelievers and secularists many times in human history, by the traditionally pious.

My take is that the human thirst for faith, meaning and divine contact is perpetual  and boundless. When one faith dies, another is born.
