What is moderate theology? It is some form of rational religion. God exists and made or configured/created/ordered the existing world, or made something out of nothing.
Materialism, secularism, worldliness and the scientific method are all vital components of investigation and expression that are integral to rational theism. Doubt, skepticism, faith, mysticism, reason, and logic are all incorporated and added to the motley mixture.
All of this is blended variously, depending on personal interpretation of how the divine is unfolding. Contradictions and invalid arguments to the contrary, this blend is the truth somehow, and it works and is how we are to interact with God.
The blended orientations to encountering God are imperfectly balanced, but it is the best that we can arrive at.
