A man that I work with was telling me this evening about a private company that is signing up people to travel to Mars. They people are flocking to sign up for the two year voyage, even though they are warned that they will never see earth again.
The disbursement to fund this settlement expedition must cost the earth. imagine if the crew and settlers going were all maverizers. Just conceive of the wondrous innovations they could imagine without the onerous weight of group preference and hidebound tradition to hold them back.
If the Islamo-Nazis or some other mass movements kooks out for world domination or world annihilation do not destroy Mother Earth prior to the establishment of this colony on Mars, it could serve as a marvellous outlet for human invention and exploration of a new planet, and new food, new medicine, new technology, new diseases and a new constitution for the exciting new home.
