Intrusive Utopian Socialism

Levin on Page 6 of Plunder And Deceit is sharing his worrying concern that unless the advancement of socialism is not curtailed in America here late in 2020, tyranny, economic collapse and chaos will almost certainly be our future. We are seriously on the wrong track, and are far down that track and the bridge oer the canyon has fallen: "It is past time, therefore, imperative that the ruling generation acquaints itself with James Madison"s uncomplicated and cautionary insight, written to bolster the proposed Constitution's ratification  at the state conventions. In Federalist 51, Madison explained the essential balance between the civil society and governmental restraint: 'But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections of human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men,  neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.' "

The civil society is that state of cultural, social, economic and political liberty, moral order, individual wielding of much personal power, legal machinery, and for-profit market system all are bound together, and work efficiently, noisily, but rather smoothly and perpetually. This only occurs when the citizens are virtuous, obey the laws, do not abuse their liberty, and do not ask for more government than they need or deserve.

Men are born sinners, not angels, so government is required. But the government must be elected by consent of and from the people that will be governed by these politicians. The limited size of government, the constitutional limits on the rulers, and the virtue of the citizens all contribute to maintenance of the free people in a stable republic of limited size.

Were the citizens anarchist supercitizens, the civil society would be kept alive and well functioning while the constitutional republic and American Way of Life would be restored.
