Are good religions of today--like Mavellonialism-intellectually and morally superior to Christian dogmas and doctrines proposed 2000 years ago? In some significant way, yest they are.
How could God the Father, the Holy Spirit, Jesus, Buddha and Allah, all omniscient, and all supporting groupist, irrationalist, selfless, altruistic ethics, and yet propose these ideas that crush human dignity and spread evil in the world?
Well, here is a humdinger of a mystery. On one had these great benevolent deities knew hundreds of years ago that more advanced theological and ethical theories would follow. They did not lie to or deceive their followers, but only revealed what ever level of truth that it that people could handle at that time.
I believe they knew the future, and that is how I resolve this paradox.
