To Make One's Life The Ultimate Standard: Ayn Rand

It seems as if, Ayn Rand, on Page 32 of her book, The Virtue of Selfishness, is announcing that, to make the maintenance, the extension and the intellectual enrichment of one's life THE moral goal, is to lead a good life, and, to enjoy its welcome byproduct, strong happiness: "The maintenance of life and the pursuit of happiness are not two separate issues. To hold one's life as one's ultimate value, and one's own happiness as one's highest purpose are two aspects of the same achievement."

I think she is onto something profound here. If my Mavellonialist emphasis on the moral and spiritual invitation from the Good Spirits for each person to maverize is insightful, and I believe it is, then is one maverizes for a lifetime, one's life is inexhaustibly enriched in this lifetime and the next. Walking with God in this world and in the next will support the biologically life and ensure that the spiritual soul is alive and happy in this world and the next.

Rand, the liberal secular humanist, is insightful here.
