Are The Faithful Good?

Whether a believer is Christian, New Age, a Muslim, A Buddhist, a Hindu, or a follower of Wicca, I would avow that all of these believers are the faithful worshiping benevolent deities.

I also presuppose that the deity that they worship is benevolent, and would disallow using intolerance, persecution, pogroms, or war to harass, terrorize or murder apostates that will not join the “one true faith.”

A moral axiom is that a bad means invalidates a noble end. To be intolerant and vicious towards followers of rival but benevolent is to employ a wicked means to achieve a noble end: to grow the faith, expanding its reach in terms of power on earth and increased numbers of followers.

The noble and virtuous gods and goddesses seek to support each other, and disagreements are to nonviolent and settled through peaceful argumentation, and a mutual determination and agreement to agree to disagree peacefully is how ethical deities comport themselves.

They also expect their faithful followers to be tolerant of, non-discriminatory towards and nonviolent towards rival believers in and followers of competing benevolent deities.

Where and when the faithful are fanatical, exclusive, and ideological, these group-oriented zealots are working for the Evil Spirits, not the Good Spirits.
