Standing Up Straight With Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson inspires sluggish young clumps of blahness to stand up straight and amount to something. He finishes the Rule 1 chapter with this paragraph: "Thus strengthened and emboldened, you may choose to embrace Being, and work for its furtherance and improvement. Thus strengthened, you may be able to stand, even during the illness of a loved one, even during the death of a parent, and allow others to find strength alongside you when they should otherwise be overwhelmed with despair. Thus emboldened, you will embark on the voyage of your life, let your light shine, so to speak, on the heavenly hill, and pursue your rightful destiny. Then the meaning of your life may be sufficient to keep the corrupting influence of the moral despair at bay. Then you may be able to accept the terrible burden of the World, and find joy."

Jordan is wonderfully inspirational here. He wants young people to stand up straight and make a commitment to amount to something personally and to live ethically and then make the world a better place thereafter.

Now, I add that you need not do this alone, but ask the Good Spirits, the Divine Couple, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, or whatever deity you worship to bolster you emotionally so that you can find the confidence, will and strength to do what Jordan advises.

I would add the Mavellonialist hope that you would maverize and become a living angel--that is taking all that Jordan is exhorting you to become, to the next level and the level after that.
