The Quote--Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson, on Page 33, of his book, 12 RULES FOR LIFE AN ANTIDOTE TO CHAOS, wrote this: "God created the cosmos, using His divine Word, speaking light, water and land into existence . . ."

God is a Spiritual Being, so is his divine word the same as spirit, that Logos or Reason is the same as spirit but expressed linguistically? The answer might well be yes, but I am not sure what Jordan's take on this is.

Philosophers do argue that thought and being are not the same, and I agree with them but Logos or Divine Thought emanating from the mind of the Creator could arrange nothing or chaos into something or cosmos. That matter always existed and creation was the act of organizing it and breathing the divine spark or soul into fauna and flora.

Philosophers argue also that language and thought are not the same, although thought or consciousness is often expressed in language.

Peterson's quote here would seem to indicate that Hebrews regarded God the Father the Creator as a rational force, or at least speaking his rational powers to bring cosmos about.
