The great Prager noted on his show the other day that if a Leftist ideologue actually consents to listen to an alternative point of view, even if, after contintuining to disagree with the conservative talker after having heard them out and understood their point of view, that reasonable, open-minded Leftist has already left Leftism.
What did Prager mean here? The fanatic or ideologue will not actually allow the opposition fully, openly without interruption or mob or state bullying to state their case without being shut down. No freedom of speech, thought or action is to be allowed.
If a Leftist allows dissenters free will to speak openly as they will in opposition to socialist dreams, to think, communicate and act as they will, then that Leftist, though still officially a Leftist, has left Leftism or Liberalism, a more moderate, rational and tolerant stance and approach towards those with alternative points of view.
