Obedience

From the 2/22/2023 The Cavalier Chronicle was this Christian message: “Make His Obedience Your Example: Jesus lived His life’s purpose. He obeyed God, rather than following his own desires. How about you? You, too, have a calling, a purpose. Investigate it this week in church, the right place to find God’s purpose for your life . . . by one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:12-19

My response: Jesus was faithful to his Father and obeyed Him. By his dying on the cross, he opened the way to heaven to all that repent and accept God’s grace.

To obey God is to live the life that you are meant to live, answering God’s calling. I would argue that if you self-realize, dedicating your life and efforts to God, then you are following your own desires, but that is consistent usually with doing what God wants you to do.

You can find your way as a churchgoer or as a loner devout and in touch with divine will.
