Subordinated

 

On my phone I receive email updates from The Atlas Society, and there were two ideas offered there that I will paraphrase and comment on.

 

First, there it was written that under socialism, the individual is subordinated to the collective. Under capitalism the collective is subordinated to the individual, and that is as it should be.

 

Also, under socialism, tyranny is what the government is, and group rights are emphasized over individual rights. Under a constitutional republic, the government is free, and individual rights hold precedence over group rights, as it should be.

 

Second, socialism is not an economic system but is a moral (rather immoral) system. I like it.
