The people like Trump, plentiful, blessed, cheap fossil fuels that give us the civilization, prosperity and bounty that we now enjoy, but the Left conspires and plots constantly to overrule the popular will by government fiat--benevolent tyranny for our own good, they console us with. I say go to hell, leave us alone.
Levin agrees on Page 157 of Liberty And tyranny: "The Enviro-Statist agenda, like much of the Statist's agenda, is increasingly immune from the popular will. In addition to creating and controlling much of the administrative state, the judiciary can usually be counted on to give the Statist's policies legal sanction. Policy becomes law and law must be adhered to. Consequently, meaningful debate is ended, compliance is mandated, and violators are punished."
