Yahweh was weary and annnoyed by the betrayal and love of paganism and evil, warmly embraced by his chosen people.
Should he call down the flood waters out and wipe out hopeless and wicked huanity, so stained so off base? No merciful and patient God did this instead: 2 Kings, 14, 23--But the Lord was merciful with Israel and looked on them with compassion because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was unwilling to destroy them or cast them out from his presence.
May God have mercy upon and be patience with out blasphemy, our sinning, our stiff-necked defiance, our marblehearrtedness, our defiance.
May we survive and know heaven on earth and in heaven.
