Their Quirk

It is hard for me to describe in words my presentiment about the future of humanity due to a religious and cultural quirk that haunt the lives of 1.6 billion Muslims here on earth. The very survival of humanity is now dangerously threatened by their inability to conquer this historical weakness.

What Durant and Hoffer gave me, over the years, is a profound appreciation for how influential and perilous is this Islamic quirk. It is their greatest strength, and, now, in the age of weapons of mass destruction, it is causing all humanity great danger.

Their 8th century worldview is powerfully durable. Most Muslims do not veer from the fundamentalist outlook laid down by Mohammed over 1400 years ago. Their complete lack of individuality, their warrior culture--typical of nomadic tribes, their army of God/Allah stance, their emotional consistency, their iron-clad fanaticism, their true-believer theology, their long and victorious tradition of crushing utterly heretics, dissidents and competing faiths, and their violent enforcement of these constraints--all of these forces congeal to make their theological adapting to the times an impossibility. Their tradition of no advancement and no altering original doctrine makes their all-or-none view of the world unalterable and regressive in the extreme.

This militant and violent intransigence made them a world religion. In the age of nuclear weapons, it is the faith that likely will cause the death of all humanity.

All we can do is arm ourselves and build a world-class missile defense system to keep them at bay.

Only Mavellonialism is new enough and powerful enough to save the rest of humanity, hoping World War III does not wipe out the race, before Muslims can be modernized, made sane, pacified, reasonable and democratize. It is a very perplexing and Gordian knot to cut.
