I will address his article elsewhere, but he claims that Progressive values are not radically Left, but are the humane middle.

Nice Sentiment, but it is not
reality. The humane middle in the Democratic Party as sensible, liberal
voices like Quentin Burdick and Scoop Jackson, blue dog Democrats, no
longer exists. What has replaced it is radical Leftism, secular
humanism, anti-constitutionalism, pro-gun confiscation, fiscal
irresponsibility, open borders, the nanny state, one-party rule, the
religion of environmentalism currently trotted out as climate change,
global multiculturalism, one party rule and a socialist government. The
Democratic Party and the Progressive Movement have been moving America
to the Left for over 100 years. Since Obama was President, the flood
gates of transformative change have inundated America with Europeanized
values and plans. The destruction of our great nation is imminent if you
Progressives, in the "humane middle", know national victory.
